Bridge

The bridge season runs between the first Tuesday in October to the last Tuesday of the following March. The game is played for enjoyment, in a competitive and relaxed manner. We play up to 24 boards, starting around 9.30am and finishing prior to lunch. There is no regular commitment to play. An email is sent out midweek to all interested players asking if they are available to play the following Tuesday. When a number of full tables is established, normally three or four, I inform those who are selected to play the following Tuesday. Occasionally we need players, in rotation to stand down. The season concludes with a play and dinner evening when a salver is presented to the highest scorer over the season.

During the summer months, Brian Raine organises social relaxed pairs periodically on Tuesdays, again by making up full tables. Play starts around 10am and again finishes prior to lunch.
