August Fishing Update

There have been three outings so far this year whilst one the nominated days was cancelled to respect Donald MacDonald’s funeral in July.

The favourable weather conditions in both Spring and Summer have made for good fishing at both Frandy Water and Lake of Menteith. Inevitably some had the occasional blank day whilst for others their day was very productive.  In August on Frandy Water, whilst there were only two boats out, a total of seventeen fish were landed, eleven kept and six returned.

The number of club members attending our fishing events this year has been low. Inevitably we have lost a number of fishing members due to resignation etc however the shortfall has not, as yet, been made up from newer members to the club. If any more recently joined member wishes to be added to the fishing distribution list please let me know.
